Heat Press Instructions

General Settings

  • Pressure: 60 lbs
  • Peel: If hot, peel immediately. If cold, wait until cold to touch.
  • Cover: Use parchment/wax or craft paper when pressing.
  • Finish: After peeling, re-press with craft paper or parchment/wax paper for a matte or textured finish for 10 seconds.

Additional Suggestions

  • 300–315°F, 10–12 sec, medium pressure
  • Hoodies may require 325°F and up

Polyesters

265–275°F, 8–10 sec, Med-Lt pressure (especially if thin material), otherwise it creates a box or scorches the transfer. Polyester settings may vary — best to use lower temp and pressure.

Finishing Options

  • Matte Finish: Cover sheet, kraft/parchment
  • Shiny/Gloss Finish: Teflon sheet
  • Specific silicone pads with texture can be used to prevent gloss look and give a nice textured feel
  • Thicker fabrics require more heat generally
  • Hats (poly): 245–250°F, 5–8 sec. Umbrellas, EZ-ups, stadium chairs will require testing and trial/error

Works with almost all fabrics and garment types: combed cotton, ring spun cotton, organic cotton, polyesters, blended fabrics, poly-cottons, tri-blends, polyesters spandex, leather, vinyl, denim, canvas and more.
